Training Our Memory Using the Experiential recipe Not Rote Memorization

Over the past nineteen years I have conducted formalized mnemonic memory training of engineers, Nasa scientists, analysts, sales and marketing specialists, doctors, dentists, Ceos and other students. The training method we now use in the memory training workshop is delivered over two days, two 3-1/2 hour sessions. The method we use is experiential and demonstratively more productive than the old rote memorization methods.

We are light years behind in the comprehension of the brain due to the complexities of this remarkable organ. But on the other hand we are light years ahead in brain explore and documented findings. Counterintuitive jar bal is not what I hope to sift out in this article, but a good mind vacuuming of useable collaboration may help in today's think tank. I say this with hopes of creating a true stimulus box not sanctioned, originated or owned by our current governing bodies. Some times the employee bee is more reflective of principles and practicality out of mere experiential exposure than the expert. I see this happen many times by accident.

Att Call Conference

Taking this into notice I try to keep abreast of current studies on studying and teaching modalities and thread their outcomes into our experiential training approach. In line with that I enduringly try to quantum the effectiveness of the results. We are passionate in the motivation of others to achieve their individuality of memory styles. We do this based on their, what I will call their fist or inventory, of their biased, unbiased, moral or immoral photo vocabularies. They use these experiences or discrete cultures to remember new data on a daily basis.

I plainly believe every one of us has our own unique photo vocabulary. photo vocabularies gathered throughout the ages, any way old they are, lying dormant many times waiting to be repositioned from negative status to inevitable position. We use these photo vocabularies in our day to day activities as well as our hereafter studying environments. I also believe straight through inevitable and proactive placements we can greatly improve our fluid intelligence or working memories. I believe our brain with its growing nature will be able to good serve us if we learn how to train it and use it more efficiently. What we now know of the brains functionality, discovered by all of the scientific testing, measuring devices and observations, we can now prime it to be more productive consciously. I can't even fathom or fantasize what levels God has built for our use of it and it sometimes boggles the mind.

I do wish many of you were in our position to see the blessings of the dedicated individuals finding day to day to improve their lifestyles and daily steps to be more proactive when it comes to remembering. I always reflect back on an article in Usa today showing how much time a person spends in their life finding for lost, misplaced or inexpressive items. The succeed was that each of us spends one perfect year of our life a 365 day, 24 hour day year, finding for lost inexpressive or misplaced items. That fact is sobering when you undoubtedly wrap your mind around what it means to each of us. That very fact is why we have have folded experiential training methods into the formalized memory training we teach in our workshops.

We truly see how the mindfulness based stress reducing techniques taught in our workshops are helping individuals achieve 500 to a 1000 percent growth in memory ability. This growth is undoubtedly realized in a relatively short duration of time. We test our students in the first hour to achieve a baseline starting point of where they are when they start and then teach them for one hour using our techniques. We use aware and subconscious training methods to teach them the first generation of mnemonics. We do this to show them how even the basic connection method can improve their quality in such a short duration of an hour. If you could see the facial expressions of individuals of all ages and walks of life how they light up when they perceive how fast their mind can improve. They immediately feel if they would have had formalized mnemonic training in school they too could have competed for the valedictorian position in their schools.

I undoubtedly feel if I would have learned the principles in school instead the way I was taught 19 years ago I could have been a brain surgeon, except for the fact I probably would faint at the sight of my own blood. On a more serious note I could have learned and recalled the 12 cranial nerves faster having had this tool in college. We have thousands of testimonials of the results of the workshops after our students perfect the 7 hours of training. I can only fantasize where it has taken them to by now and the successes they have had. I am talking about testimonials on personal and business letterheads from the majority of those before mentioned students of memory. I should also say students of all ages from 10 years old to my oldest student a young lady 87 years young. I tell you how active she this 87 year old was she was still taking night classes at the University of Houston with her daughter. She came up to me when the two day seven hour workshop was over and said she wished that she had acquired the memory training 67 years ago. I still remember her charming and endearing face today.

You see the question is back in the late 60's early 70's- achieve, compete and high testing results were the main drive to elevate your position in life. I feel many times we were taught straight through intimidation instead of affirmation. The toxic environments of corporate, college, and group norms abused us both mentally and physically to not take our body's seriously and the stress level of the fight or flight syndrome could have been alleviated. The technology of our quality to turn our Autonomic Nervous principles status was not documented to sacrifice the stress levels, blood pressure etc. The questions we need to ask ourselves today is are we happy in our 40 hour a week job and do we have a good happy family life for the allowable group and emotional connectedness we deserve.

One of my beloved stories is of the brother of one of Zig Ziglars employees that told me her sibling suffered from Adhd and after her having attended the workshop herself she believed he would advantage from the training as well. She told me he was so heavily medicated on Ritalin that he swayed while standing. She also mentioned he was struggling trying to cease college and this may help to finally achieve his goals.

He did come and I knew of his health and watched him throughout the program. We do a mock cocktail party over the last hour of our workshop (no alcohol) but we use our 6 step process for remembering names to institution in a role play. They are instructed to use the techniques they learned to introduce themselves to other workshop attendees and then review. After about 10 to 15 minutes they sit down and we ask for a incorporate of volunteers to see how many first and second names of individuals they met using the six step pattern for name retention. The young man I am speaking of stood up and volunteered. I was first reluctant to allow him in fear of his Adhd stressing him with inherent embarrassment but then allowed it. I still get goose bumps telling it. I asked all that had met him to stand up and as he remembered their name first name worth 1/2 of a point and or last name the same to then be seated. If you get both names you get one full point. To my surprise 26 population arose and he started firing off first and second names and as they were called they sat down. After completing successfully I should add. He then proceeded to tell the 100 plus audience in that night session that he was Adhd heavily medicated and I knew about it because his sister had set the workshop up for him. He said that for the first time in his life he felt like he could remember things. He also mentioned that he had been struggling to cease college and now felt like he would be finishing faster. You know the keen thing wasn't just that he went straight through the declaration of that story, or that he had remembered 26 names. The most keen thing was that he had undoubtedly remembered 52 names because he remembered first and last names and I saw a glow of self belief he probably had not felt in a long time! It was a blessing to be there and to know he did it all himself.

Now why do I feel it is so successful? I will tell you as best I can but without you undoubtedly experiencing it yourself it will probably seem impossible. We will personally send copies to whatever who would like to read any of those testimonials to show how achievable it undoubtedly is. We see the results in the first hour of our workshop. We start with a test of 20 item list having to be recalled after we give it to them. The audience or attendees are not allowed to take notes or write whatever down. We undoubtedly give them the 20 items in 2 second intervals, then test their results and log it in. We show the counts or test results to them in the workshop immediately. We then teach them the first generation of mnemonics basic connection for one hour then test them again. The final improbable outcome gives self belief resulting in the majority getting 6, 7 items right on the first test and 19, to 20 right on the second test. It's like putting them under laughing gas they are ecstatic with their results. Then we tell them they will never use basic connection again because it's just not very productive and it doesn't replacement new learned information from the short term memory to the long term memory. They are plainly put astonished and then the studying begins. Their teach quality index soars.

I promise you it's like watching 80-150 population in the audience realizing for the first time in their life they can learn. It's nothing short of a miracle I promise you and it's like a shot of adrenaline for our instructors and me. Now I know you ask why and how does it work. First let me elucidate I am dyslexic and being a psychologist I know I meet the criteria for Adhd and probably should be medicated. I was to old to be tested so here I am. Seriously though back in those days they didn't even have testing. The intuit it works is because we all have the quality to have a trained memory lying dormant in our mind and it's just a matter of turning the switch on. That switch we turn on is used for the best computer that's ever been industrialized or ever will be built and God gave it to you it's your brain! You just weren't taught the software agenda effectively enough. There is where we help them to learn the software program.

Now I am going to give you my principles of memory and why I believe formalized mnemonic training will forever be the new way of studying in schools in the near future. It may be a bit over the top but if you can decipher it you will have the truth of memory as I see it.

My principles of Our Memory-Harold Mangum

People do not live in the objective world alone, or in a world of group activity as we commonly understand it. We are at the mercy of the photo language which has become the medium of expression or transportation of our immediate society. It is an illusion to think that one learns, adjust to reality or perception of our surroundings, based without the use of our photo vocabulary. That photo vocabulary is merely an incidental means of solving exact problems of memory or reflection. The real fact of the matter is the" real world" to a large extent is built on the unconscious photo vocabulary habits of the society or group we live in. No two photo vocabularies are ever sufficiently similar to be thought about representative of the same group reality. The worlds in which the distinct photo vocabulary worlds live in are inevitable worlds, not merely the same world with distinct labels attached. We see, hear and remember and otherwise perceive as we do because the memory habits of our society predispose inevitable choices of interpretation.

We dissect our studying life based on premises laid down by our native memories we have built. The memory traces and recalls that we cut off from the world of phenomena are not there because they stare every recollect in the face; on the contrary our memory world is presented in a kaleidoscopic flux of impressions. Impressions, which has to be organized by our minds-and this means largely by the photo vocabulary systems of our minds. We cut nature up, invent it into concepts and assign significances as we do, largely because we are parties to an business transaction to invent it in this way. - An business transaction that holds throughout our memory society and is codified in the patterns of our memory. The business transaction is, of course, an implicit and unstated one but its terms are undoubtedly obligatory. We cannot talk at all except by subscribing to the society and classification of memory which the mind decrees. The adaptive unconscious or lock box of our mind, the one which we cannot elucidate how it got there or even how it checks our bias or prejudice is private to each of us.

So the real world is to a large extent built upon the memory habits of the group. We see, hear and otherwise perceive very largely as we do because the memory habits of our society predispose inevitable choices of interpretation. The memory worlds in which our societies live are inevitable memory worlds, not merely the same world with distinct labels attached to it. - H.M.

So again, I leave you with this reiteration, don't use some one else's memories, memory switches brands or photo vocabularies. Use the memory predispositions' you now have, laid down by your maker. The predispositions I speak of are those that you have worked so hard to originate and continue to work hard daily to create. You do this in the journey to turn your memory switches to the inevitable position! When I say inevitable position I mean the process we all go straight through of priming our minds to position our studying quality from passive to proactive.

When we go straight through mindfulness based stress reducing methods of focused studying we then move what we now know as our memories, photo vocabularies or memory switches to a compartmentalized inventory. An inventory primed to be recalled by the cues we organized them with. The encoding specificity principle we teach states that straight through experiential studying stimuli can retrieve a memory as long as the stimuli is coded with a cue. The cue undoubtedly retrieves the memory.

By doing the skill experimentally instead of reading or finding it you then structure your memory by laying it down with all of your abilities to remember. These abilities are sensory perceptions, of sight, touch, taste, smell, hearing, emotion, with the added implicit memories in our locked box of unconsciousness. We experientially originate our new found memories store them and put in order them for ease of retrieval. We do this by teaching our students using analogies, and stories with spice and emotion that they can recapitulate to. These every day stories are life changing to those students because they are situations they have experienced themselves. Life is fun when you make it fun. We teach students to picturerize their way straight through life not memorize. That is my friend the inexpressive to mind priming and Rapid Cognition. You see every thing in life is what you make it; it's not what is that counts but how you take it!

A life of studying is forever, not just for the young, because our brain has plasticity and it evolves every day. Challenge your life to learn every day of your life. Why spend it any other way?

How to Get Fsbos to Call You

Are you actively pursuing the Fsbos in your marketing area? You should be...because you'll generate a never ending furnish of inexpensive buy mortgage leads if done correctly.

Here's a literally great tool to add to your marketing bag of tricks: "Hold a argument call for Fsbos." This idea can be used in other niche marketing areas as well...but, for now, let's consolidate on Fsbos.

Att Call Conference

Here's how it would work:

Set-up an catalogue with a enterprise that provides argument call capability. Check-out your local telephone enterprise and compare rates and features to get the best deal.

You should look for the following features:

1. Dedicated phone number for your use.

2. Instructions on how to set-up the call.

3. Caller Id so you have a narrative of everybody that participated in the call.

4. No contract, no set-up fees, no minimums, no cancellation fees, no per argument fee.

5. Muting capability.

6. Permanent toll free number and pass code.

Pick a convenient date and time for your argument call and promote it. generate flyers letting Fsbos and potential Fsbo know the date and time of your call.

Advertise your call as a "Free For Sale By Owner argument Call" and try to set a scheduled time for the calls such as: The 1st or 15th every month, or every Wednesday evening...at 7:30Pm.

Post your argument call data in Laundromats, home improvement centers and, any and all bulletin boards you can find. Deliver flyers or mail flyers about the call to all Fsbos. Advertise your call in a local publication.

Look for Fsbos on-line. There is a growing number of websites Fsbos use to advertise their home. You can specify your city or marketing area within these sites. Many times you'll find sense data about the Fsbo as well as an email address. Use this data to promote your argument call.

Prepare and print hand outs/mail outs for everybody that participates in your call.

It's your job to talk:

Plan your call and naturally carry on a conversation. Thank your callers and let them know they can ask questions at the end of the call. Initially, plan a 30 miniature call. You can make them longer as you gain experience

Mention your phone number and perhaps your email address in the beginning, middle, and end of your call. Let your callers know you are ready for secret consultation if they would like to sense you.

Offer Free guidance to the Fsbos that will help them sell their home. A few examples would be:

1. Setting the exact value of their home,

2. Pros and Cons of "Open Houses,"

3. Financing options for their home,

4. Qualifying buyers,

5. 100% financing of their home, and

6. Tips for a prosperous "Open House."

There's abundance to talk about and all of the data is great stuff that Fsbos want to know. Offer your Fsbo manual to anything that shows a willingness to work with you. If you're short of material and don't even have a Fsbo manual check out my Fsbo Marketing Kit. There's so much material that you could have a series of argument calls exterior varied aspects of the Fsbo selling process.

Finally, un-mute and allow for a few questions. If the ask is off the topic, ask them to call you direct and you'll be happy to help. Ask them to call you with their experiences and problems. Keep at it...you'll build credibility and gain their confidence

You could ask guest speakers such as a real estate attorney, appraiser, home inspector, home warranty representative, Realtor/Agent, or whatever. Many of these citizen would even pay for this occasion and cover some of your costs of the argument call.

If you let your mind perambulate a little, you could produce a argument call for investors, home buyers, re-financing in today's market, and many other topics and niches.

Now...why does this idea work so well with Fsbos and other topics?

1. It's Free to the caller,

2. Its comfortable...they don't have to attend a meeting,

3. It's convenient,

4. They can attend from any touch-tone-phone,

5. It's non-confrontational,

6. They can join the call and leave at any time, and

7. It's low-key and anonymous,

What's even better, you don't even need an office to do this; it can be done in the comfort of your own home. And best of all...nobody knows if there are ten citizen on the call...or one!

Personally, I think this is a much good idea than organizing a seminar. Now I don't have to worry that too many, or worse yet, too few citizen are attending. Plus...my actual cost is a factor of the number of callers and the length of the call.

Now...I've done a miniature searching and comparing and I was impressed by "Budget Conferencing" at: budgetconferencing.com

They furnish a "call calculator" so you can appraisal the cost of the call before hand. As a reminder you are getting a Toll Free number assigned to you.

Using their calculator, I entered in 10 participants, a 45 miniature call (allows for questions), and 2 calls per month. My cost was .00 per call. Sprint would charge 8, Mci 1, and Att 8 per call for the same (or even less) service.

Wow...I think that's a great price. Especially since there's no contract...you can afford to try it out and see how it produces for you.

A few words about this kind of marketing...this is low key and "I'm ready to help" type of marketing. You'll win over your Fsbos by providing vital data and aid they need to sell their home and save money.

This is niche marketing at its very best. Don't expect results over night. As you continue to work with Fsbos and others, you will be looked upon as an expert in this field and more and more home owners will seek you out.

Time administration Tips - Productivity Myths Exploded

Have you ever noticed how time management tips are not about managing time but rather they are about managing yourself? You cannot alter or manage time in anyway.

You can only convert the way that you behave and that often starts with a clear examination of what is really true versus what you believe to be true.

Att Call Conference

Your behaviour is influenced by what you believe to be true. Many habitancy try to enhance their time management by practices that have no evidence that they enhance productivity at all.

Let's take a look at some time management myths and the beliefs that retain these practices.

Exploding the myths

There are two big myths about work productivity that are perpetuated by beliefs and not evidence. These two myths are:

- Myth #1 - Multitasking improves productivity
- Myth #2 - Cell phones enhance productivity Let's scrutinize the beliefs that persist in perpetuating these myths.

Myth #1

Multitasking improves productivity - here is the trust that sustains this myth:

If you have a lot of things to do then doing two things at once make you more productive.

Nothing could be added from the truth. In fact investigate has shown that humans cannot multitask. While it might look like you are doing two things at once you are really only concentrating on one thing at a time even if it is just for a microsecond. So what looks like multitasking is really just switching fast between two (or more) tasks.

Cell phones enhance productivity- here is the trust that sustains this myth:

My customers or clients expect me to be ready when they need me to I need to keep my cell phone on in order to vocalize their business.

There is no evidence to retain this. In fact new studies by At&T have shown that 76% of all enterprise transportation is not time sensitive and that a lot of time on enterprise calls is wasted due to social chit chat. really most habitancy now do not expect a live voice on the other end of the phone and expect to be able to leave a voice mail message.

If you leave your cell phone on all the time it is more likely that you will waste time and not be more productive. The investigate evidence shows that it takes time for the human brain to switch back to the task that was interrupted by a phone call and this is non-productive time. So in fact you are really wasting time by manufacture yourself constantly ready for business.

The same investigate by At&T shows that 60% of calls are not as prominent as the work they interrupt. This means that 60% percent of the time you get a phone call that interrupts your work you are dealing with an issue of lower priority than the work you were engaged in. Think about that!

If you set your priorities wrong 60% of the time what does that say about your quality to do your job competently?

So of all the time management tips that could be offered here is the one that is based on the investigate and will enhance your productivity.

Concentrate on one thing at a time.

When you start on a task that needs some concentration turn off the phone and turn off the email alerts. Allot a specific amount of time to the task at hand and turn your concentration fully to that task.

When the time is up you can either settle to continue or take some time to make a phone call or check emails. You naturally do not need to be ready to everybody all the time. By concentrating on one task at a time your productivity will enhance and you will feel like you have really done some good work! And of course it is prominent to remember that time management tips are not for managing time they are for managing your own behaviour. Time will never convert but you can.

estimate Centers For work development and Promotional Processes

How the estimation center recipe works: An estimation center (Ac) is a process in which candidates for hiring, promotion or occupation development training share in a variety of activities that simulate actual job tasks. The simulations may include:

*Role-plays about work activities.

Att Call Conference

*In-basket exercises that simulate handling disposition work.

*Critical incident exercises that simulate handling unusual or needful tasks.

*Verbal presentations or written essays about job topics.

*Structured interviews that include hypothetical work questions.

*Group discussions.

*The performance of actual job tasks.

*Other activities that can be used to part work effectiveness in the job being considered.

A Quick summary of the History of the Process

The recipe was first perfected by the United States Office of Strategic Services (later called the Cia) while World War Ii, which was based on similar work done with the German military. It was advanced added by Dr. Douglas Bray, who used the process to great success with At&T in the early 1950s and chronic for decades. It is used nearby the world in industry, business, government and the military. It can be used as a developmental tool to compare training needs and work strengths, or it can be used in hiring or promotions to recognize likelihood of success. Police estimation Centers are a common promotional process in police and sheriffs departments, and fire departments, and have demonstrated the value of using job simulations rather than relying solely on interviews (Oral Boards) for promotions.
The Process In Action:

Candidates are observed by trained raters who take notes about what the candidates do and say that can be connected to traits needed for the job being assessed. The raters assign a score in each trait area based on the quantity and potential of the behaviors in that trait. The trait scores are added together to contribute an full, score for a simulation. All simulation scores are added together to contribute an full, score for the entire estimation Center.

The explanatory material above is a rather pragmatic look at the process, although the actuality is much more attractive and challenging!

A typical estimation center for promotion: think an estimation center for the rank of sergeant in a police department:

A candidate will be an officer who has petite or no supervisory experience. Therefore, to demonstrate the traits required for success as a sergeant (leadership, problem-solving and decision-making, planning, interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication, role-readiness and others) he or she must not only learn the basics of the knowledge and skills, but be able to demonstrate them in a work simulation.

Many candidates hope for the best and just "do what comes naturally." The most flourishing candidates get ready throughout their careers for a flourishing future. The literal, making ready is not focused on learning tricks for doing well, it is focused on learning knowledge and skills and applying them in the estimation Center.

In spite of the requirement for career-long preparation, it is true that many candidates are helped by focusing their efforts in the months or weeks just prior to the actual estimation center in which they will participate. Insight the process is the first big step to effective preparation, either you are in a police division or in inexpressive industry, or in the government or military.

How the process can be used in any work setting--including yours: One of the best uses for the estimation center recipe is to let employees demonstrate their job skills and get feedback, without risk. For example, if an employee in a call center is only evaluated while he handles actual calls, there is a risk of losing the enterprise of unhappy customers if he does not do well. If the employee does the work of a "sample day" with any exercises to simulate typical work, he can receive feedback, and supervisors can conclude training needs, in a safe environment.

Unless a job or promotion is complex (in which case the process will probably be stressful) most employees enjoy the simulation exercises and especially like the personal attentiveness of feedback and a opening for them to discuss the results. The key issue is to ensure that ineffective behaviors are noted and that best methods are suggested, or "discovered" by the employee while the discussion.

Assessment Centers were advanced over sixty years ago, but their value is addition all the time. Challenge yourself to think of ways to use task simulations in your work group or in other groups or settings. It will enliven training and increase knowledge and skills on the part of participants.

Can the iPhone 4 and the Htc Evo Video Chat?

There is no doubt about it - two of the most beloved new phones that are currently on the market would have to be Apple's iPhone 4, and the Evo from Htc. Currently, the iPhone 4 is exclusive the At&T while the Evo is only on the Sprint network. Both of these phones highlight one of the most beloved features to hit the cell phone world in the last few years - video chatting.

Due to advances in the processing speed of the newest lines of phones, the technological upgrades that have been made in the way of cellular phone cameras and also the newest 4G speeds that are available to cellular networks, video chat is something that has finally become potential for wireless customers.

Att Call Conference

The biggest problem that many users may find is that these phones are only set up to be able to characterize face to face with other users of the same model phone. This could be an issue if you have an iPhone 4 but the man you need to chat with, whether it be a friend, relative, or firm associate, has the Htc Evo. This is where apps from third-parties come into play.

Using the pre-installed software for video chat on these phones will not allow you to video chat with users of other brands of phones, but there are many third-party applications that you can download for your phone that will allow you do video chat with anyone, whether it's other cell phone user or even man on their home computer.

Companies such as Yahoo! and Skype have already released applications that allow you to use this new highlight from your iPhone 4, Evo, or many other means via their software. While Skype may cost you for use, Yahoo!'s Yahoo Messenger is free to use for both instant messaging and video chatting.

Being able to see the man you're talking with is a excellent highlight of the newest phones and is something that will turn the way we all communicate. While I feel that the phone manufacturers will make a accepted way for different phones to characterize for video chat, I think we're just too early in amelioration for that to happen right now. In the meantime, you are still able to video chat with whatever by using many messenger programs available out there on the market.

Because it have four times as many pixels, it shows really, in fact sharp text. This display is rated as 326ppi, which Apple claims is beyond the human eye's limit of distinction, which is 300ppi. It also have 800:1 disagreement ratio which is also 4X best than the current one. And the display is similar to the iPad Ips display but with still the same old 3.5-inch size.

Third, the iPhone 4 is powered by the A4 chip which is Apple's convention built chip. What they have done dissimilar is that they make the size of the chip small so they can make the size of the battery bigger. So now it got improved battery life with 7 hours of 3G talk, 6 hours of 3G browsing, 10 hours of WiFi browsing, 10 hours of video, 40 hours of music... And 300 hours of standby.

Number four, Apple iPhone 4 have an additional one new piece of hardware known as Gyroscope with a 3 axis gyro.

Apple have tied the gyro and accelerometer, compass for six axis, which is perfect for gaming. Plus many more features like tap to focus video, build-in video editing, one click sharing and Led flash.

On the software side Apple have made a huge revision with the introduction of multi-tasking. Which is what we all apple lovers missed about it in the past. But now it's there with the best of all multi-tasking features ready for any smartphone in the market. Other software improvements are included like Apps Folder, New unified mail inbox and threading, the new iMovie, and the introduction of iBooks for iPhone.

Another prominent highlight of this new iPhone is its introduction of developed Video calling features known as "Face Time". It's a video calling from one iPhone 4 to an additional one everywhere there is Wi-Fi with zero setup required, can be used in both portrait and scenery mode with both front and rear camera.

The phone will be ready in white or black, retailing at 9 for the 16Gb model and 9 for 32Gb.
